Chicago Tow Lawsuit Settlement — Up to $1,250 for Owners of Vehicles Towed Without Notice
The City of Chicago agreed to a $1.4 million settlement over allegations it
towed vehicles deemed abandoned and lacking registration without first
mailing notice to owners. If your vehicle was towed by Chicago on or after
June 11, 2017 under the abandoned vehicle ordinance, you may claim up to
$1,250. Deadline: August 12, 2026
